When you donate stock to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation, you may realize tax benefits, which result in a larger gift at a lower cost to you. That’s why a gift of appreciated securities may provide one of the best ways for you to support our Library.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts, including bequests and life income gifts, are designed to help you meet your financial and charitable goals while supporting The CommonSpark campaign.
Anyone can leave a legacy gift of any size, and there are simple ways to do it. We’d welcome the opportunity to work with you to create a structure that suits your passions, and works within your overall estate plans.

Multi-Year Pledges
By spreading a donation over time, you can make a larger gift at your own pace, allowing a potentially greater impact on the Library. Some donors make multi-year pledges, often over five years or less.

Monthly Giving
A recurring gift is an easy, automatic way to give according to your budget and schedule. Recurring gifts are customizable for donors and help ensure a stable source of funding for The CommonSpark campaign. Simply choose “monthly” when you give online.
Donor Recognition
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation will honor significant gifts through naming opportunities within the new Main Library or endowed funds. All gifts to The CommonSpark campaign will be recognized in a cumulative campaign honor roll.
The Carnegie Circle recognizes the annual generosity of donors who make a gift of $1,000 or more.
The Dewey Circle honors donors who include the Library Foundation in their trust or estate gifts. The Dewey Circle recognizes the vital role planned giving donors play in sustaining the Library for generations to come.
