Carnegie Circle

Through annual investments of $1,000 or more, members of the Carnegie Circle help unlock opportunities for learning and growth through donor-supported programs and resources available at all 21 locations of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and beyond.

Founded in 2006, we are celebrating 20 years of philanthropy with...

330

members and growing contributing...

$1,600,000

in annual giving power.

“A library outranks any other one thing a community can do to benefit its people. It is a never-failing spring in the desert.”

Andrew Carnegie

Created in 2006, the Carnegie Circle honors the legacy of philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, who donated funds to help build libraries around the world, including ours in Charlotte in 1901. There is no better way to acknowledge the individuals, businesses, and foundations that exemplify his same philanthropic leadership today.
