OUR MISSION

Improve lives and build a stronger community

Founded as a non-profit 501(c)(3) in September 2012, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation was created to support Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s mission to improve lives and build a stronger community.

We expand the Library’s collection of print and digital books and materials,

enhance programming for all ages,

invest in innovative initiatives,

and strive to grow its endowment for future generations.

Private support is the greatest endorsement of our belief that free and open access to information can change lives for the better and build a brighter future for our community.
