Match, Met!

We asked, you responded!

I Love the Library…Do You?

YES!

We asked, and you responded! In early July, The Leon Levine Foundation awarded the Library Foundation a $100,000 matching grant intended to broaden the Library Foundation’s base of support for ongoing sustainability.  To receive the funds, we had to raise $100,000 from new donors, donors who hadn’t made a gift in over a year, and increased gifts from current donors. The grant matched gifts from those categories, up to $5,000 per donor.

The challenge was a statement of confidence in this community’s commitment to our Library, and willingness to demonstrate Library love through philanthropy. The goal was to raise $100,000 in qualifying gifts between July 1 and December 10, and we raised nearly $400,000 in response to the challenge, not including the matching dollars.

This campaign was about our community, and it was a success because of all of you – thank you for your personal generosity, for spreading the news, for sharing your Library love, and for demonstrating that meaningful philanthropy is accessible to everyone. Every one of us can make a difference.

Thank YOU!
