The days following Thanksgiving are often filled with mad dashes to local stores and feverish clicking online to grab the best holiday deals. It’s a rush to find the perfect gift at a great price. While we can get sentimental about carols, cookies and Mr. Claus, scoring a bargain ranks high on the warm, fuzzy holiday feels.
But don’t underestimate the feeling of unleashing the power of radical generosity. That’s what Giving Tuesday is all about.
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to focus on and celebrate the places and people who strengthen and support our community. Obviously, here at the Library Foundation, we champion the work of our incredible Library staff and the educational, safe and inspiring spaces they create throughout the county.
