It’s been a stressful year at the Library and in the world. For this year’s staff campaign, we’re going to celebrate the little moments that make us laugh – and feel better – together.
As an employee of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, your gift to the Foundation is especially meaningful. It illustrates your commitment, confidence, and personal investment in the success of the Library and our community. You know the Library makes a difference for citizens of all ages, and we appreciate everything you do to make this true. We sincerely appreciate your support.

First, there will be two teams…competing against one another, of course:

Use this value calculator to tally up how much money you’ve saved by using the Library – for as long as you’ve had a library card! Don’t remember what you checked out? You work at the Library – look it up! If you use a category on the value calculator that’s not available in Horizon, estimate honestly – then, enter your total savings here and we’ll add it to your team’s total.
The team that’s saved the most will have snack bags delivered to their branches.
The team with the highest percentage of staff making a gift or pledging volunteer time in the first two weeks wins this week! And yes – one team can win for financial gifts and the other for volunteer time pledged! Remember, the goal is participation, not total dollar value.
The winning team(s) will have stress balls, fidget toys and candy delivered to branches.
