The Lincoln Highway, Rules of Civility and A Gentleman in Moscow
Amor Towels

Amor Towels is an author I get so excited about when he has a new book release. Character development, character interactions and settings make for a wonderful and enjoyable read. He tells a great story in each of his books.

A Man Called Ove
Frederick Bachman

Another favorite author is Frederick Bachman. I’ve read all his books; he’s never a disappointing read. I particularly liked A Man Called Ove. It made me laugh, cry and wish the character Ove could be a central character in more of Bachman’s books.

Can’t Hurt Me
David Goggins

This is one of the most inspirational books I’ve ever read. His story and mental toughness are amazing.

Shuggie Bain
Douglas Stuart

I stumbled upon this book, and I’m glad I did. I found it be very moving. The autobiographical story is a bit depressing, sprinkled with minimal hope, but kept me engrossed with the writing and the tragic upbringing the author endured. The author’s honesty via the central character is admirable.
