Donor Advised Funds
Contributing through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) — a charitable giving account that allows donors to recommend grants to nonprofits over time — is a powerful way to support Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.
Your DAF gift helps launch lifelong learning journeys that will benefit our community for decades to come, ensuring everyone has opportunities to learn, grow, and connect through programs at the Library.
Step-by-Step Guide to Give via DAF
- Log in to your Donor-Advised Fund account (e.g., Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Foundation For The Carolinas, etc.)
- Select “Recommend a Grant” (or similar option)
- Search for Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation (Tax ID: 46-117-2548)

- Enter the grant amount you wish to recommend
- Designate the purpose (optional), if you’d like your gift to support a specific program or initiative
- Submit your recommendation
