People who received refurbished laptops at our MeckTech distribution event were able to participate in informal computer sessions at their local branches. Staff are on hand to guide the new computer users on skills like emailing, web searches, and Zoom meetings.

Hello,
Here we are at the end of another year, and once again I am humbled at the generosity of our Library supporters. Please take a look below at the overwhelming support we received just in the last month alone.
I also wanted to share one of the Library’s newest services. To me it illustrates the ingenuity and adaptability of the Library staff and their devotion to serving people.
Our Library staff have created an innovative way to provide digital services to our Uptown patrons and fill a gap made by the closing of Main Library. Starting this week the Library is opening a Pop Up Computer Lab in First Ward Park. The lab will provide laptops, free Wi-Fi, printing services, and more on Mondays and Wednesdays with Library staff on site to help.
Digital access is an important part of everyone’s daily life. From healthcare to career services, digital literacy and access are often as necessary as food, shelter and education — and they enable access to all three.
The Foundation staff and I wish you the healthiest and happiest of holidays. We hope you’ll remember the Library in your end-of-year giving plans.
With gratitude,[/vc_column_text][us_image image=”12240″ size=”us_300_50″][vc_column_text]Jenni Gaisbauer, CFRE

Time flies when you’re eliminating barriers to access, promoting literacy, building a new Main Library, and championing equity in one of the South’s fastest growing urban areas.
